Clara Freeman receives Callen Prize

Clara Freeman, a University of Iowa senior in the School of Social Work and Chicago native, has been named the recipient of the Joseph E. and Ursil I. Callen Prize for an outstanding senior in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for the academic year 2014-2015. The award is given to a University of Iowa senior in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences who shows a high academic record and evidence of school and/or civic leadership in high school and/or college. The prize carries a cash award of $5,000.

Callen Prize recipients may pursue graduate work at the UI or at any other accredited university in the United States or abroad.

She was recognized at the Honors Award Ceremony on Sunday, April 13.
